THE Mandarin Square show room features a contemporary Oriental-inspired three-bedroom unit with earth-colored furniture pieces that create an atmosphere of simple elegance.

    distinct themes in interior designs

Mandarin Square, one of Anchor Land Holdings Inc.’s high-rise luxury condominium projects, has opened a second show room on the lower ground level of SM Manila.

Anchor Land’s interior-design partners developed two distinct themes for the three-bedroom units of Mandarin Square.

The 163-square-meter Unit C was designed with a contemporary Oriental approach for the traditional Filipino-Chinese family. All around, earth, wood and metal elements present in furniture pieces, seamlessly combine to create an atmosphere of simple elegance, enhancing both space and function to reflect the unit’s Oriental theme.

The bedroom’s ceilings and walls, in soothing earth colors, offer a relaxing ambiance with their clean lines while in the living and dining rooms, deep-colored furniture pieces offer a nice contrast to the earth-toned surroundings. However, the most distinct features of the unit are individual toilet and baths found in each of the three bedrooms, as well as a powder room.

The 147-sq-m Unit D, on the other hand, is designed with an avant-garde look, reflecting current and fashionable trends in design, perfect for a relatively young and ultramodern Filipino-Chinese family.

Anchor Land assistant vice president for sales and marketing Elizabeth Sison said the opening of the Mandarin Square showrooms is an important undertaking because they are able to show to their clients the actual units that they intend to buy.

“We are continuously investing in model units because they offer a great showcase of what we can deliver to our clients—real homes built from quality materials. Through our model units, interested clients have appreciated the beauty and functionality of our products and went on to buy actual units.”

Sison is confident that this would still be the case for Mandarin Square’s second showroom. Mandarin Square has already generated 60-percent reservations on 285 units barely a year after the property was started. The units are expected to be turned over to owners in 2009.

Seen to provide for the finest urban living among well-off Filipino-Chinese families in Binondo, Manila, Mandarin Square is a 39-story luxury high-rise condominium which offers one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom units ranging from 55 to 225 sq m.

Mandarin Square also boasts of first-of-its-kind two-level loft units with private gardens and an easy access to the swimming pool, gym and other recreational facilities. It also has three spacious penthouse units with sky garden balconies and landscaped roof deck.
