    Peso drops to P44.72

    THE peso on Wednesday extended its losses against the dollar and dropped to P44.72 in mixed trading that was influenced by the dollar’s decline and global concerns on inflation. A currency trader from a commercial bank said the peso slipped on falling oil prices but was later backed by demand from foreign banks as oil prices started to stabilize.
