    Why personalized is essential

IN today’s world of mass production, people usually reminisce the time when things were not.

Before, people have seemingly all the time as they painstakingly accorded effort and time in everything they do.

You would notice that most things before were made by hand and thus, you would still be amazed by the product’s high quality.

It seems that things made by hand before were accorded the attention to detail that made these things highly valuable today as compared with those made by machines in almost similar likeness.

This is true, not only in production, but also in the way we deal with relationships and life. It is the time of easy come and easy go. Friends, particularly those not gained through mutual trust and lasting respect, are quick to vanish. Things that are not acquired through hard work are also easily spent on things without redeeming value.

In building a person’s character or skill, personalized attention to detail is also very important. It won’t be easy for one coach to relay instructions to a mass of hundreds, but the task would definitely be easier on a one on one basis.

For those who are familiar with school education, they would notice that those belonging to a class made up of more than 50 students (this is true in most public schools) have difficulty learning when taken in with other factors. On the other hand, it would seem that the teacher can reach out to students if he or she can almost talk to them one by one.

I’ve always thought that this is why tutorials are most effective when a kid does not do well in class. Instead of learning the skills or knowledge through a collective channel, he or she is given the chance to learn it in a more rigorous atmosphere. This encourages the students not to fall back and let others learn but exert effort themselves.

This is true in the case of basketball teaching. Personally, I have seen the benefits of teaching basketball to a smaller group of students (five persons at the most) instead of a big group in which a student may feel like a stranger or simply uncared for.

A student in this case is sure to be given the adequate attention and also close monitoring of how he takes in the skills as the exercises would simplify the learning process.

A student who is given personal attention gains greater confidence as he learns more skills the personalized way. This, I believe is the way of the future.
