after a hostage-taking incident on Espiritu and
A.Francisco streets in Singalong, Manila. The hostage
taker was believed to have escaped after an hour-long
standoff. The five hostages, who were locked up by the
assailants in a toilet were freed and told the police that
they were victims of holdup men.
