Lasallian performers unite for One La Salle

THE stage is set for the largest gathering of Lasallian artists and performers in a concert, dubbed We Are One, on June 22 at the St. Benilde Gym of La Salle Green Hills, San Juan.

    KITCHIE NADAL

The concert features celebrated artists, such as Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Randy Santiago, Rannie Raymundo, Jett Pangan, Montet Acoymo, Anna Fegi and Kitchie Nadal—all Lasallians—among other Lasallian artists and students, and distinguished alumni. We Are One is the kick-off event for the One La Salle campaign, organized by De La Salle Philippines (DLSP), the network of all Lasallian schools in the Philippines. The De La Salle Brothers, alumni, parents, students and Lasallian Partners are expected in this concert that will launch the campaign to make quality education more accessible to the poor.

The campaign aims to sustain DLSP’s goal to raise P1 billion in order to fund the full scholarships for 20 percent of students in all Lasallian schools in the Philippines by the 2011 centennial.

    JETT PANGAN

The “One La Salle” campaign highlights the growth of the Philippine Lasallian Family from one Lasallian school to 18 schools, emphasizing the integration into one Lasallian governance structure body in time for the centennial of the De La Salle Brothers’ and Lasallian presence in the Philippines in 2011.

“One La Salle” aims to generate synergy among Lasallian schools, improve the overall quality of Lasallian education in the country, and promote one spirit with a common vision of educating the Filipino youth. The event is by-invitation only.
