BSP is GSIS-SAGA Awardee Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetangco Jr. accepts the SAGA — Seven Achiever Government Agencies Awards —from Government Security Insurance System (GSIS) president Winston F. Garcia and GSIS board of trustees chairman Bernandino R. Abes during the 70th anniversary celebration of GSIS, in recognition of BSP as a model agency for good governance. The GSIS gave the SAGA to seven GSIS-remitting agencies that stood out during the period 2001-2006 for their passion for service and excellence, their commitment to sound corporate governance and corporate social responsibility, and their culture of innovation and effective internal controls and systems. The other awardees were the Provincial Government of Bulacan, Mahalo Elementary School (Anhawan, Southern Leyte), Securities and Exchange Commission, National Statistics Office, Davao City Government and Jose Fabella Memorial School.
