Sam, Anne dating ‘with a purpose’

Sam Milby recently turned 24. This young man has definitely gone a long way. From being a replacement for one of the housemates in the first-ever Pinoy Big Brother, Sam Milby is now one of showbiz’s certified heartthrobs. The past year, we saw Sam in the Book 2 of Maging Sino Ka Man, the movie My Big Love from Star Cinema, plus various commercials and concerts here and abroad. This year, we will see Sam in Diyosa with rumored girlfriend Anne Curtis.

Speaking of Anne, we spoke to the heartthrob about the real score between them—and regarding the issue that Anne’s mother doesn’t like Sam for her daughter.

We heard that you just came from Australia, where you celebrated your birthday.

Yup. It was for a series of shows in Melbourne and Sydney. I met a lot of [TFC] viewers there and they’re so warm and very friendly.

We also heard Anne Curtis’s mom went onstage in your Melbourne show and even gave you gifts backstage.

The Melbourne show coincided with my birthday (May 23). She surprised me by going up onstage and she gave me a cake and even made a nice wish for me.

So it’s not true, those rumors that she doesn’t like you?

I don’t think so. She’s a very nice woman and very warm and kind to me. Those rumors aren’t true.

You’ve lost a lot of weight and seem to be more fit than ever.

Thank you. I lost weight before but I also gained it back. That’s why I told myself to lose again so I avoided carbs and fried food.

Wait. Let’s talk again about Anne. So what’s the real score between the two of you?

Well, honestly, we’re dating with a purpose....

You’re just dating? Why can’t you admit that the two of you are an item?

You can’t hurry things like a relationship so, yes, we’re just dating.

What’s her birthday gift for you?

An Xbox. Imagine that, she flew from Europe for my actual birthday but I was in Melbourne. So we just saw each other the other day and that’s when we celebrated my birthday.

You’re now friends with Lolit Solis.

Yes, that was one of my birthday wishes granted. It’s been settled so thank God. I didn’t want to go on with the case; even our pastors were telling us. I didn’t want to push through with it because I pity her. We just asked for a retraction and that’s all.

Lolit is now your friend and even offered for help with your publicity.

I will not ask for it. I’m not refusing it but I’m not asking for it. But I’d like to thank her for her offer.
