‘Extra Challenge’ finishes at a high

GMA’s Extra Challenge is ending at the top of its game.
According to the latest AGBNMR Mega Manila Ratings Data, Extra Challenge is still the country’s No.1 reality program and the leading program on its prime-time timeslot. Ratings show that despite being pitted against shows of different genres by the competition—from other reality programs to teleseryes—Extra Challenge has constantly posted solid numbers.
Pitted against the newly launched Bituing Walang Ningning, Extra Challenge refused to take things sitting down.  Featuring the country’s newest singing sensations on its “Battle of the Singers” episode, the show solidified its lead, posting an average of 31.5 rating points versus Bituin’s 27.9 from May 15 to 19.
And from May 8 to 12, during the final airing week of ABS-CBN’s Gulong ng Palad, Extra Challenge’s “The Ultimate Sexbomb Showdown” episode posted an average of 29.7 rating points, edging the 29.2 average of the competing soap opera.
To celebrate the phenomenal success of Extra Challenge, the program pays tribute to all the challengers who have shown the true meaning of courage and triumph in a two-day special presentation dubbed as “Huling Hamon ng Extra Challenge.”
The first part of “Huling Hamon,” airing this Thursday, will showcase a grand-opening number that the program has never done before. Unforgettable scenes that made us laugh, cry and tense will be recognized in a different kind of awarding. And on Friday, grand production numbers showing a different side of Paolo, Ethel and Miriam, together with your favorite Kapuso stars, should not be missed.
“Huling Hamon” is Extra Challenge’s way of expressing “thank you” to its loyal public.
