The events industry continues to grow in leaps and bounds as more businesses, both large and small, tap into the proven success of utilizing events as a sales and marketing tool to produce extraordinary corporate results.

THE recently concluded 61st PAL Interclub Golf Tournament(left photos) expresses its earnest appreciation to the BUSINESSMIRROR (represented by BM’s corporate affairs head Ricky Alegre) for partnering with Philippine Airlines in staging this important event. A total of 159 golf teams (1,426 participants) flew in from various international and domestic points to Bacolod City for the seniors’ and men’s tournaments.

SPONSORING(top right) a specific cause is beneficial to a company in terms of goodwill, media exposure, as well as generates new business. This year, Miss Philippines-Earth undertakes various activities in its ongoing campaign to “Fight Global Warming.” Included in its activities was a visit to the BUSINESSMIRROR with the Miss Philippines-Earth candidates and BM executives Ricky Alegre and president Benjie V. Ramos.

Starting this issue, the BusinessMirror is “in the news” as it partners with other events in a sought-after business marketing skill in today’s competitive marketplace. The ultimate goal is to bring the companies closer together, open minds to innovate new ways of doing business, and motivate and produce an energy high that will be carried out forward in the marketplace. These activities are built around fun and pleasure, or even more serious in nature.
