IBM Philippines recently hosted a C-level event for IBM Global Financing (IGF) at the Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City, as one of many activities the company is implementing in line with its geo-expansion initiatives to widen its reach and operations in key cities and locations outside Metro Manila.

According to IBM, IGF is the world’s largest technology financier with over 125,000 clients in more than 50 countries. IGF provides a range of solutions that enable IBM clients “to fund technology investments, manage asset life cycles, and finance supply chain and working capital. Solutions are available for organizations of all sizes, from small and medium businesses to global corporations,” the firm said in a statement.

“We are dedicated to every client’s success—working to the highest standards of trust and integrity to maintain the practices, policies and stability that the IBM brand has come to be known for,” IGF Philippines country manager Dean Tabanao said. “This event is part of our mission to reach out to all small and medium businesses in this part of the country, to provide accessible, approachable and, most importantly, affordable solutions that will simplify and enable growth through information technology [IT].”

“We are here in Davao to help our clients and business partners acquire IT products and services through a single financing source. The breadth and flexibility of our offerings enable us to provide leasing and financing solutions for IBM and non-IBM equipment, as well as related technology equipment used by business and government,” Tabanao said.

“We are pleased to learn this great piece of information from IBM,” Department of Trade and Industry Region 11 provincial director Teolulo Pasawa said. “Now, more and more business can afford technology and use it as an enabler in their business endeavor. And we leverage on IBM’s experience over the decades as a great technology partner. Davao City is indeed a progressive city and we are happy to have big IT companies such as IBM to invest their resources here.”

IBM has over a decade’s worth of experience in dealing with small and medium businesses and has “sharpened its capabilities and offerings to address the challenges faced in managing IT infrastructure and services,” IBM said in its statement.

According to the firm, IGF “makes it easier for the small and medium businesses to afford these IT necessities, helping them compete better in an increasingly dynamic global economy.”
