After
years of maintaining a minor role in the domestic
electronics market, Taiwanese-owned Asus now wants to
take its role higher by opening its first dedicated
service center in the Philippines.
Located
at 14 United Street in Pasig City, the Asus Royalty Club
seeks to provide customers with repair and support
services, guaranteeing repair works from a minimum of
two hours to a maximum of one week, depending on the
level of service required for customers bringing in
their Asus laptops, notebooks, mobile phones and
personal-digital assistants
In an
interview, Asus general manager for Asia-Pacific, Benson
Lim said in an interview that his firm is a “brand
business and we must make people feel confident in our
products and services,” citing this principle as the
reason why Asus decided to provide “direct service in
the Philippines.” It also expects to launch a 1-800
toll-free customer support service.
Besides
the Royal Club, Asus also maintains a drop-off center at
Cyberzone in SM Megamall and is in the process of
establishing more service centers in Northern Luzon,
Cebu City and Davao City. The company has 36 service
centers worldwide to support the global warranties on
its product.
