    Hotties uncovered

According to the press release of the concert, which happens on May 9 and 10, “the hotties will show their playful, naughty and steamy hot side as never seen before. This is a rare chance to watch the boys in their sexy unguarded moments and also for the audience to sing, dance and be with nine of the hottest and most in-demand male celebrities up close and personal.”

So, boys, tell me about the concert....What do you want to prove in this show?

Rafael Rosell: This concert would hopefully prove that we are more than meets the eye. A lot of people already have preconceived notions about us, that we’re all about looks, and doing this concert would give us a chance to showcase another side of us.

    Which is?

    John James Uy: Singing...and dancing.

Rate yourself as a singer and dancer….

John James Uy: I’d give myself a 7.

    Ron Morales: I’m a 7, too.

So with a 7, do you think that you guys already deserve a concert series, at the Music Museum no less?

Ron Morales: We work hard. We may not be as good as the real singers out there, but we can perform.

Victor Basa: Yes, we are performers and we give what our audience wants.

You guys want to prove that you’re more than just eye candy, but do you have any issue on how it is being promoted? They are really highlighting your looks and your bodies....

Victor Basa: As long as we’re not being objectified….

You don’t think you’re not being objectified?

Victor Basa: Well, a little! (Laughs) But this concert is not only about sexiness; it’s all about having fun. It’s summer and there are no classes, so we want our audience to just relax and let their hair down with us.

How often are you rehearsing for this?

Jon Avila: We rehearse from two to three times a week. We have singing and dance rehearsals. It’s very grueling but we really want to give a good show.

So what numbers are we expecting?

Jon Avila: We have a Ricky Martin medley, we’re also singing “Sexyback” and a Hagibis medley.

So tell me whose name pops into your head first when I ask you—who’s the most mature in the group?

    All: Rafael (Rosell).

    What about the most vain?

    All: Jake Cuenca!

    The kilabot ng mga bading?

    All: Jake!

Who’s the kuya of the group?

    All: Zanjoe...and Rafael

    Who’s always late?

    All: Zanjoe

Who’s the most makulit and immature?

    All: John James

    Who’s bading?

    All: No one....

    OK, no comment! (Laughs)
