    TNT Express names new
    head for the Philippines

TNT, one of the world’s leading express integrators, announced the appointment of Cetin Yalcin as the new country general manager for TNT Express Philippines. Yalcin’s immediate focus is to grow the revenue and profitability of the Philippine office of the Netherlands-based company. A TNT veteran of almost 15 years, Yalcin was appointed to lead the business in the Philippines as part of TNT’s aggressive growth plans and expansion in the region.

Prior to this appointment, Yalcin was the sales and marketing director of TNT Turkey, where his excellent performance resulted in revenue quadrupling in a span of 10 years.  During his earlier stint as the operations manager for TNT Turkey in 1997, Cetin played a critical role in the establishment of the country’s air-freight operations.

Said Onno Boots, regional managing director, TNT Southeast Asia: “The appointment of Cetin Yalcin as the new head for the Philippines is in line with TNT’s vision and strategy for the region. As we power ahead with our plans to become the leader in Southeast Asia through significant investments in our infrastructure and building on our core network business, Cetin brings a world of experience from our European business that will propel our business forward.”
