    Harbour Centre ups efficiency

HARBOUR Centre Port Terminal Inc. (HCPTI) sees port efficiency at the Manila Harbour Centre being enhanced with the acquisition of 12 units of brand-new TCM forklifts. Ten of the new forklifts have 10-ton capacity each while two have 5-ton capacity each.

These newest additions to HCPTI’s fleet of modern and superior quality equipment strengthen Harbour Centre’s leadership as the country’s premier noncontainerized port with annual handling record of some 5 million metric tons, the company said.

According to Mikee Romero, HCPTI president, Harbour Centre is committed to translate usage of its port to the best advantage it could muster for its clients through efficient cargo handling and best possible vessel turnaround.

“In the habit, that we have, of exceeding levels of customer satisfaction, the acquisition of the new forklifts makes for faster and economical pierside activity and complements over-all company efforts to achieve the best results for clients,” he stated.

Operating today in a world-class port environment with unparalleled port features as deep berths and long-working apron, Harbour Centre said its first-rate accomplishments are made possible by its roster of highly skilled- port workers and wide array of modern cargo- handling equipment.
