SHOULD the Supreme Court rule with finality to allow Sen. Franklin Drilon to stay on as Liberal Party president until November 2007, the LP wing led by Manila Mayor Lito Atienza could opt to be “adopted” by allied political parties if only to be covered by the protective measures for parties in the polls, such as copies of the results and the right to field watchers and inspectors.
