THE amazing Fr. Delaney of UP asked a young Vicente “Enteng” Manansala, who did the Stations of the Cross at the UP chapel, to add that “final station”—Christ in Easter glory—so that he might pour out his crucified-and-risen life, his paschal glory, into our world and its history, into our lives. below, Delaney tries to portray, with the Napoleon Abueva crucifix, that Cross and glory are only one mystery. Master painter Manansala and sculptor Abueva are two of the four young men, tapped by Delaney for the design and construction of the chapel, who went on to become National Artists. The two others are architect Leandro “Lindy” Locsin, and visual artist Arturo Luz. --PHOTOS COURTESY OF THE PARISH OF THE HOLY SACRIFICE
