Gerald denies canoodling with other girls

MY girlfriend Sarah would launch a jihad just to kiss Gerald Anderson. That’s how much she is in love with this boy.

Sarah won’t admit her age to anyone of us. All that she will tell us is that if she does indeed get into a relationship with the young actor, she would be sentenced to death. But she won’t mind getting electrified or injected with a lethal amount of poison because she is utterly so into Gerald.

When she learned that I talked with the young actor recently without me bringing her along, she got royally miffed. Until now she refuses to text me back. Oh, well, she can read about my moment with the actor here....

It’s final—you are Kim Chiu’s partner in the Philippine remake of My Girl. There were talks that the project wouldn’t be handed to you. What can you say about this?

I believe things happen for a reason and if this project hadn’t been given to me, I would’ve accepted it. Of course, I would feel sad, since I believe in it so much, but I know I would move on.

There were talks that Sam Milby would be Kim’s partner because some quarters were insisting that you’re too young for the lead male character in the remake.

Well, I can’t please everybody. Sam would’ve also been great in the role, I’m sure, but all that talk only pushes me to work harder to prove the disbelievers, my critics wrong. I have to say that there are also a lot of people who support me and even fought for me to get the role and I am grateful to them. I will do my best not to let them down.

I guess the Kim Chiu loyalists are reacting to the items that have come out linking you to other girls. Let’s set the record straight. Did you really court young actress Empress Schuck?

That all started when I visited a friend on Game Ka Na Ba? and Empress was one of the contestants in the show. One thing led to another and some camps were insisting that I visited her, but that’s not true. Empress is just a friend.

What about this 15-year-old nonshowbiz girl who even put a picture in Friendster to prove that you have a relationship?

Well, that’s just it—a picture. I don’t know who she is and I don’t remember meeting her. You guys even know more about our “supposed” relationship than me. (Laughs)

OK, let’s talk about your relationship with Kim. I’m sure you will say you’re just friends, but how special is she to you?

She is very special, the most special girl in my life right now. But a lot of factors come in, that’s why it’s very hard to have a relationship right now, especially with her. I like her very much and she has a special place in my heart.

Her birthday is coming up. Her debut actually. Any plans?

Well, I’ve been planning a few things but nothing concrete yet. Even my gift for her. This is a special day for her, so I know I have to get her something extra special. I have some sort of a clue but nothing is final.
