IP E-Game Ventures Inc., the business unit for online gaming of IPVG Corp., has entered into a game licensing deal with Japanese media company GDH K.K. through its group company GONZO Rosso K.K.

In a statement, IPVG said the deal “grants to IP E-Games the license to publish GONZO Rosso’s first original title, Pandora Saga, in the Philippines.”

Pandora Saga is the first Japanese-made Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) to be launched in the Philippines, IPVG said in the statement.

Developed by Headlock Inc., Pandora Saga has been available in Japan since February. It is a full-scale war game that “offers a highly strategic and action-packed game experience in a battlefield where three battling nations employ an extensive array of siege weapons and horsemen for the ultimate victory.”

The GDH group is known for producing cutting-edge entertainment for teens and young adults and the company is a world leader in content development targeting both domestic and international audiences with Japan’s trend-setting animation culture.

“The GDH group will continue to actively promote and further expand the online gaming business in Asia through GONZO Rosso,” GDH chief executive officer Shinichiro Ishikawa said in the statement. “By harnessing our partnership with IP E-Games, we hope to pave the way for the release of the title in multiple Asian territories.”

“We are proud to have secured the rights to Pandora Saga which brings yet again an ‘A-title’ to our gamers in the Philippines,” IP-E-Games chief operating officer Enrique Y. Gonzales said. “With this title and partnership with GDH, IP E-Games is positioned to introduce high-quality games and animation to the Philippine market, as well as other countries in South East Asia.”

IP E-Games is scheduled to release Pandora Saga in the Philippines this summer. The title is expected to penetrate more Asian gaming markets soon after its release in the Philippines.
